Our Team
Dr. Deseree Brown, DVM
Veterinarian and Practice Owner
Graduated from Oklahoma State University Center for Veterinary Health Sciences. She enjoys working on all types of animals and educating owners on each disease process. She is active on the Meeker Chamber of Commerce. She has several horses on her farm. In her free time, Dr. Brown enjoys riding her horses, spending time with her family on their farm, and photography. She is married to Dustin and has five children: Gatlin, Cami, Daxter, Dyani, and Taylor.
Niki Stansell
Director of Operations and Marketing
Graduated from Illinois State University with a bachelor's degree in Recreation and Park Administration followed by her Masters in Kinesiology and Recreation. After graduation, the former college athlete spent her time working in college athletics as a graduate assistant coach which launched her coaching career. She fell in love with the veterinary field and decided to use her skills gained from coaching and apply them to this career. She loves her family, sports and animals. She owns four horses: Krissy, Roxie, Prince, and Gunner and three dogs: Bo, Murphy and Cooper.
Lori Russell
Customer Service Representative
Graduated from East Central University with her Accounting Degree. Lori has three cats: Miguel, Bootsie, Bitsy, and two dogs: Maybelle and Sage, all of whom she loves very much. She is a huge sports fan and cheers for the OU Sooners during football season and the St. Louis Cardinals during baseball season. Lori loves to spend time with family and friends.
Sarah Ventry
Veterinarian Assistant
Sarah has been working in veterinary medicine for the past 15 years and is currently working towards becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician. She started in Orlando, Florida until 2018 when she moved to Oklahoma and joined the team at Meeker Animal Hospital. Here she has built her tiny home with her husband, Henry. She has cats, chickens, rabbits, and a goat named Totes. When not working she enjoys off road recreational activities and Jeeping with her friends and loved ones.
Alyson Overman
Veterinarian Assistant
She is currently in her second year of veterinary medicine at Oklahoma State University. When she is on breaks from college, she is here with us on the Meeker Animal Hospital Team. She enjoys riding her horse, traveling, and hanging out with friends. She has one horse: Bristol, and one dog: Ollie.
Dr. Dustin Brown, DVM
Veterinarian and Practice Owner
Graduated from Oklahoma State University with his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. He is a traveling veterinarian who performs advanced orthopedic procedures including fracture repairs, medial locating patella correction, and cruciate repair with TPLO. He is married to Deseree and has five children: Gatlin, Cami, Daxter, Dyani, and Taylor.
Jessie Bednarek
Registered Veterinarian Technician, RVT
Graduated from Vet Tech Institute at International Business College in Indianapolis. After graduation, she moved from Indiana to Oklahoma in 2015 with a brief stop in Utah in 2011 and gained knowledge from each place. She became part of the Meeker Animal Hospital Team in January 2021. She loves working on all types of animals and loves the fast pace of veterinary medicine. In her free time, she loves traveling and spending time with her family and friends. She is married to Ray and they have three children: Jack, Elara, and Celine.
Mariah Stansell
Customer Service Representative
Graduated from Meeker High School and has been with the Meeker Animal Hospital team since February 2021. In her spare time, she loves spending time 2-stepping, doing wedding hair, and traveling. She has one son, Kopelan, who keeps her busy every waking second because he is always on the move. She has one dog: Bandit.
Alexis Gilliam
Veterinarian Assistant
Graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University with a bachelor's degree in Biochemistry. After graduation, she was drawn to the veterinary field and is pursing it as a career. She has been with the Meeker Animal Hospital Team since November 2020. She loves 2-stepping and spending time with friends. She has two dogs: Dioji and Biscuit.
Alicia Stasyszen
Veterinarian Assistant
Currently in school as well as working in the clinic. She joined the Meeker Animal Hospital Team in July 2020. She mainly does behind the scenes work but makes a huge impact on this team to make it successful. In her free time, she hangs out with friends and family. She also is a blue belt in taekwondo and working towards her brown belt. She has one dog: Ziggy.
Eileen Griffin
Veterinarian Assistant
Graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a bachelor degree in Science. She started working for Dr. Dustin Brown and moved to Meeker Animal Hospital. She has worked in the veterinary medical field for over 15 years. She has a rescue pup: Breezy and one cat: Spiro. In her spare time, she enjoys going to car shows to look at muscle cars. Eileen has two children: Shelby and Tyler.
